Montreal-based flight simulator manufacturer and training provider CAE inaugurated its newest business aviation training center in Morristown, N.J., on June 7. The well attended festivities kicked off with a high-flying aerial acrobat and featured a GIV simulator programmed to dance to big-band swing. The $100 million facility, which has the first full flight simulator for the Dassault Falcon 7X, along with a Falcon 900EX EASy/2000EX EASy, a Gulfstream IV and a Sikorsky S-76C+, has been in operation since the beginning of the year. Although the facility has not been operational for long, the company has already decided to upgrade it from six training bays to 12. Jeff Roberts, CAE’s group president for innovation and civil training and service, said the additional simulators will handle the growing needs of business aviation in the area.
