The FAA has awarded Sabreliner’s Perryville operation its Gold Certificate
of Excellence. The award is given to companies that send at least 50 percent
of eligible technicians to specified training on FAA regulations and policies as well as aviation maintenance during the previous calendar year.
“This is part of our process for ensuring that customers receive the highest quality of service. The quality of work we are consistently able to deliver is directly related to the caliber of the technicians we have working for us,” said Ron Herman, vice president for operations for Sabreliner.
In addition to the company’s receiving the Gold Certificate of Excellence, 53 Perryville technicians received individual Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards.
Last year the requirements of the AMT Award Program were more demanding than ever. In previous years, only 25 percent of the eligible workforce had to complete the required training. This year at least 50 percent must meet the ongoing training requirements to receive the Gold Certificate of Excellence.
