Next month’s June opening of the new Encore Euralair FBO at Aéroport Côte d’Azur in Nice, France, brings more U.S.-style FBO services to the European business aviation market.
Encore Euralair Nice, just like the company’s FBOs at Paris Le Bourget and the Encore FBO in Dublin, Ireland, all pump their own fuel into customer airplanes using Encore fuel trucks and line service technicians. This helps prevent delays to business aircraft operators who are used to having to wait for fuel companies to service airliners first. Encore is building a new customer lobby inside the old domestic terminal.
Encore closed its most recent acquisition on May 18, the purchase of the former Frederick Aviation FBO in Frederick, Maryland. This is Encore’s second FBO with a business jet charter operation. At Frederick, Encore is negotiating to build another storage hangar to serve growing demand from the local market, especially given that Frederick is outside the challenging Washington, D.C. restricted airspace.
Encore expects to buy another FBO in Europe this year and four to five more in the U.S., according to Don Prescott, executive vice president.
