Operating in Aruba became easier last month after the opening of a 16,000-sq-ft general aviation terminal at Queen Beatrix Airport in the capital city of Oranjestad. The terminal is being operated by Universal Aviation Aruba, a subsidiary of Universal Weather & Aviation. The new ramp will offer on-site customs and a full assortment of ground handling services, including jet-A, catering, maintenance, a pilot lounge, snack shop and a duty-free shop. Universal said attendants speak proficient English. This is the country’s first FBO in more than 30 years.
