London-based BBA Aviation disclosed today it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Executive Beechcraft, including its four full-service FBOs and their associated maintenance services and charter/management businesses, as well as aircraft sales activities and all aircraft inventory. Executive Beechcraft was founded in 1938 by Dan Meisinger Sr. and is currently owned by members of the Meisinger family. Interestingly, BBA intends that the business will continue to operate as Executive Beechcraft rather than be rolled into BBA’s Signature Flight Support network. This will enable “the same portfolio of products and services that the company’s customers and represented OEMs have come to rely upon,” said BBA officials. With its flagship facility at Kansas City Downtown Airport, Executive Beechcraft also has FBOs at Kansas City International Airport, New Century Air Center and Spirit of St. Louis Airport. Denver-based Aviation Resource Group International is advising the Meisinger family and facilitating the timely completion of the sale. The deal is expected to close by June 30.
