NAC Aviation, Raytheon’s UK distributor for both Hawker and Beechcraft aircraft, is relocating to Oxford Airport in central England from Farnborough Airport, southwest of London. According to the company, the move will give it the space to offer turnkey aircraft-management packages to business aviation clients, as well as executive charter.

At the same time, the manufacturer’s maintenance arm, Raytheon Aircraft Services, has decided to create a new service center at Oxford to act as a satellite operation for its main European base at Chester Airport in northwest England. Oxford is located about 60 miles northwest of London and is seeking to attract business aviation. The airport already has extensive maintenance capability for Cessna Citations and Cessna and Piper turboprops, as well as line maintenance for Bombardier and Falcon business jets.

NAC Aviation was established in 2002 as the UK subsidiary of South Africa’s National Airways Corp., a major business aviation support provider in southern Africa. It handles British sales and marketing of all new and used Hawker and Beechcraft products for Raytheon.

“Having assessed a number of southern UK airfields, we decided Oxford offered the best value, flexibility, ease of access and location with a growing community of other businesses in aircraft sales and engineering and charter services,” commented NAC Aviation managing director Peter Griffith. “Apart from the inherent value for money, it is the synergies with these other like-minded businesses that made Oxford the most appropriate choice.”
