• Runway reconstruction will close Friedman Memorial Airport, Sun Valley, Idaho, from April 24 at 9 a.m. to May 23 at 7 p.m.

• Later this year, Collin County Regional Airport in McKinney, Texas, will close for runway rehabilitation. The airport has proposed building a replacement runway, but environmental and funding approvals for that project will delay it for at least three and perhaps five years. Meanwhile, according to an airport statement,
“Continuing deterioration of the runway, escalating construction cost and rapid growth of the airport have prompted airport officials to recommend rehabilitating the runway sooner rather than later.” The closure could happen in October, according to an airport spokesman, and should take 30 to 45 days.

• Aspen-Pitkin County Airport closes April 9 at 11 a.m. for 60 days for runway repaving and grooving.
