Business Jet Center recently completed a $5 million expansion project at its Dallas Love Field (DAL) facility. The facelift includes a new hangar and adjoining office space, collectively called Hangar B. The new building increases the fixed base operator’s total square footage of hangar and office space by nearly 25 percent–to approximately 220,000 sq ft from 178,000 sq ft. The company also increased its ramp space by more than 65 percent–to 16 acres from 9.6 acres. Overall, the Business Jet Center now occupies a total of 24 acres at Love Field.

Stephanie Jordan, general manager for Business Jet Center, said the additional hangar space has already been leased and the company has a waiting list for clients wanting to reserve space. The opening of Hangar B and additional ramp space are part of a continued growth plan for the company, which expanded to the West Coast by establishing a new FBO at the Metropolitan Oakland International Airport (OAK) late last year. Currently operating from a temporary facility in Oakland, Business Jet Center has nearly completed a $4 million renovation of the airport’s original terminal, which will be used by the FBO as its executive terminal beginning later this fall.

Founded seven years ago at Dallas Love Field, Business Jet Center is affiliated with Business Jet Services, an aircraft sales, maintenance, management and charter company; and Business Jet Technologies, which sells and installs Stage 3 hush kits, RVSM solutions and engine management program development for Gulfstream IIs and IIIs. Business Jet Services also operates a maintenance facility in Tulsa, Okla.
