TSA Transairco has refurbished its lobby and passenger/crew lounges at Geneva Airport. The Swiss FBO runs Geneva’s original general aviation terminal on the north side of the site, competing with TAG Aviation, PrivatAir and Jet Aviation, which occupy the executive terminal at the western end of the airport.

Externally, the main improvement to the Transairco premises is a new glass shelter that provides all-weather dry access to the building. Transairco has also reorganized the terminal’s large parking lot to clear the main entrance. Inside the building, the company has redecorated the lobby and lounges with more comfortable sofas, armchairs and tables to create a warmer and more intimate atmosphere.

The facility also has a new welcome desk intended to improve communications in the handling process. Transairco offers a full array of services for business aircraft operators, including flight planning, ground transportation, cleaning and catering. Its crew lounges feature TV, DVD players and Internet-connected computers.

According to Transairco CEO Jason Mulcock, the FBO’s main advantage is that it offers all its services under one roof. The company’s maintenance and modifications facility is part of the general aviation terminal complex.

Transairco, which is owned by the Pilatus aircraft manufacturing group, claims a 60-percent market share of the approximately 50,000 private aircraft movements at Geneva each year. This total includes the entire light aircraft end of the general aviation activity.
