Mercury Air Centers and TAG Aviation have joined to provide added travel services through Mercury’s FBO network. Mercury customers throughout the U.S. can now use a variety of ancillary services, including charter and management, through TAG Aviation. Mercury president John Enticknap said his FBOs often receive requests from customers for services outside the normal scope of the FBOs’ operations. They include requests from flight departments for extra lift because of an aircraft grounded by a maintenance problem or a charter request from an individual with specific travel requirements. In addition, Enticknap said some customers are looking for management services that would maximize utilization of their aircraft.
Mercury has 20 FBOs throughout the country and TAG operates and manages more than 90 aircraft, which are available for charter. Full implementation of the joint program, branded Mercury Easy Travel, was scheduled to become effective in the middle of last month.
