At the Dubai Air Show last month, Jet Aviation unveiled construction plans for a maintenance center and FBO at Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates. With sister operations in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Dubai location will be the third Jet Aviation facility in the Middle East. Jet Aviation Dubai, a joint venture with the Almulla Business Group of Dubai, is expected to be fully operational in the second half of this year and will include a hangar large enough to accommodate two bizliners. Jet Aviation Dubai will offer scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and aircraft modifications, as well as avionics installations and retrofits for a large variety of business aircraft. The company plans to apply for authorized service status from Boeing, Gulfstream, Falcon, Cessna, Raytheon and Embraer.

The FBO will house a reception area with a refreshment center, customer lounge, conference room, prayer room and private offices. In-house immigration and customs clearance, security checks, baggage screening and a metal detector will be included. Other amenities are passenger and crew changing rooms and showers, a snooze room and a kitchen.
