The Million Air FBO franchise has reached 35 bases, with the addition of nine new facilities in the past 12 months, one of which, in Paris, is the chain’s first European FBO. Million Air Paris at Le Bourget Airport brings luxury amenities to the European business aviation market, including a theater room, complimentary beverage/snack bar and a snooze room. The Paris FBO is building a new 43,000-sq-ft hangar, and grand opening of the facility is planned for January, according to general manager Pascal Ravel. Million Air is planning to open another French FBO, which will be the first private FBO at Cannes-Mandelieu.

The company is also building new facilities at Charleston, S.C. (opening in next year’s first quarter); Lafayette, La. (opening in March); and Medford, Ore. (opening this year). The Medford base at Rogue Valley International Airport will include a three-story, 15,000-sq-ft office/terminal building and 25,000-sq-ft maintenance facility.

One of the chain’s most recent additions is Million Air Los Angeles, located at Jack Northrop Field/Hawthorne Municipal Airport, east of LAX and an uncrowded alternative airport for Los Angeles traffic. Hawthorne’s 4,956-foot single runway has a 971-foot displaced threshold on Runway 7 and 463-foot displaced threshold on Runway 25. Century Aviation Holdings, which owns Million Air Los Angeles, is planning to build 190,000 sq ft of hangar space by the end of next year. In Victorville, Calif., the Million Air FBO at Southern California Logistics Airport is undergoing a $500,000 renovation.
