Abu Dhabi-based private charter operator Royal Jet has added two aircraft to its Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) fleet. The carrier, which began operations in May 2003, now owns and operates seven of the type. The two newly acquired Boeing 737 derivatives feature head-of-state standard cabin layout.

The BBJs were previously owned by another Boeing customer in the Gulf region and were built in 1999 and 2001. With their double-bed bedroom, bathroom and 36 seats, they are “suited for heads of state, royalty and business elite on their transcontinental and long-haul flights,” according to the company. The seats break down into eight VIP seats in club-four configuration, eight VIP seats in lounge setting, eight business-class seats and 12 economy-class seats. The carrier also received a new Bombardier Challenger 300 that started operations in September.
