JetDirect Aviation is planning a new national FBO chain, backed by Philadelphia private-equity firms CD Ventures and Argosy Capital. The company now has five FBOs and manages 60 airplanes, many on charter certificates. JetDirect plans to merge all the charter certificates into JetDirect’s certificate and place all the charter and management aircraft under its banner. The managed fleet should grow to 100 aircraft by year-end, the company said, all part of a plan to offer fleet membership programs with preferred pricing for customers using the JetDirect network.

JetDirect now owns five FBOs–Jet Direct, Coatesville, Pa.; JetCorp, St. Louis; Regal Aviation, Dallas; Spirit Aviation, Van Nuys, Calif.; and Summit Aviation, Farmingdale, N.Y.–that eventually will be branded with the JetDirect name.

The company also plans to expand its maintenance capabilities across the U.S, using its JetCorp subsidiary. Other investors in the company include HSBC, AIG and Brantley Partners. Gregory Campbell, who founded Executive Air Support with Lou Pepper, is chairman and CEO of JetDirect.
