Irish helicopter and jet management and sales company Premier Aviation Services has signed for three Sikorsky S-76D corporate helicopters. The business, covered by “position assignment agreements” with Sikorsky, is said to involve the first European deposits for this newest variant of the successful rotorcraft, which will be powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210 engines. Premier will operate one S-76D from Weston Airport, Dublin, for an Irish financial institution and will manage the other two on behalf of the undisclosed private or corporate customers.
UK Sikorsky sales representative Harrods Aviation Aircraft Sales, which will announce the agreement here at the EBACE show today, also offers the larger S-92 and provides approved maintenance for Sikorsky helicopters. Based at London Luton Airport, Harrods also received approval from Bombardier and Honeywell as a service center for the Challenger 300 corporate jet and HTF7000 engine, respectively.
Harrods already provides support for Honeywell (Garrett) TFE731 powerplants. Additionally, it has linked with Manhattan Aviation Services to offer European Aviation Safety Agency Part 147 type-specific business-jet engineering training courses.
