In order to keep the annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) here in Geneva’s Palais d’Expositions, show organizers have shifted the indoor exhibits from Hall 7 to the larger Hall 6 because the event has outgrown its former home. Hall 7 is not large enough to accommodate this year’s record amount of exhibit space–1,183 standard three-square-meter booth spaces (a total area of more than 38,200 sq ft).

EBACE visitors can still conveniently access the show’s static display (featuring 50-plus aircraft) via Hall 7. EBACE organizers are also providing shuttle buses that run frequently between the static display and Hall 6. Another bus runs between Hall 6 and Geneva’s main airport terminal, where EBACE has a welcome desk opposite the arrivals area.

EBACE also provides a tram that runs at regular intervals from Hall 6 carrying visitors to and from the conference meeting rooms which are near Hall 1. None of these trips take more than five minutes.

Hotel shuttle buses, as well as private cars and taxis, continue to pick up and drop off passengers from the patio area outside the registration area and Hall 6. Registration is again being conducted in the foyer outside Hall 5. Cars can be parked in the lot below Hall 6.

If EBACE keeps growing, it is conceivable that it could one day fill both Hall 6 and Hall 7. The entire Palexpo facility offers just over one million square feet of exhibition space. This capacity, plus the convenience of its airport location, is one of the reasons that show organizers have committed to keeping EBACE here in Geneva at least until 2009.
