Air Security International is now the ASI Group

As a reflection of an expanding range of non-aviation security services, Houston-based Air Security International has changed its name to the ASI Group. The company opened for business in 1989 to provide security services to corporate flight departments.

“The bottom line is we outgrew our name,” said Charlie LeBlanc, ASI Group’s vice president of operations. “Last year, nearly 90 percent of our clients turned to us for non-aviation-related products or services.”

The ASI Group offers global risk-management services including investigations, emergency response and crisis management, global monitoring, threat-assessment services and personal and asset protection. As part of the rebranding, the company said it is also making its products more convenient by allowing access to data through handheld devices like iPods and Blackberries.
