Landmark Aviation, the only Honeywell-authorized service center for TPE331-10 engine conversions, has developed a “value calculator” to quantify to aircraft owners how increased power and speed and lower fuel burn from the conversion produce operational benefits and cost savings that quickly offset up-front costs.

According to a company spokesman, the TPE331-10 conversion produces 20 percent more engine power and 10 percent greater speed, and reduces fuel burn by 7 percent at higher altitudes.

The company has also collaborated with Magnum UK, an aircraft services provider with operations in India, to provide maintenance and repairs at a new service center in New Delhi, India, on the TPE331 turboprop.

The agreement calls for Landmark Aviation and Magnum UK to jointly develop, staff and operate a 12,000-sq-ft facility that will provide hot-section inspections, overhauls and TPE331-10 conversions. The joint venture will begin operations next year.
