Horizon Business Concepts this month introduced an online service that allows operators to register FBO service requests and obtain fuel confirmations on the Internet.

Called FlashTurn, the service uses Horizon’s TotalFBO accounting and aviation management software, and the company automatically enrolls all TotalFBO customers. Horizon invites all other FBOs to subscribe as well, however.

Pilots, charter operators, freight operators and others can register their requests for fuel and services from any Web browser at no charge and receive confirmation from the FBO of their choice. Participating FBOs can advertise with the service and provide their customers with confirmed fuel pricing.

Customer service reps at each FBO can monitor and update FlashTurn requests through their Web browsers. TotalFBO users can also access requests through the program and even upload completed invoices to the Web.

Meanwhile, operators can use the system to more easily follow their flight’s progress, assist with service arrangements, receive confirmations and even download complete cost information once the flight has departed the stop.
