Pratt & Whitney Canada CSC (Africa) is offering engine overhaul services following an expansion project at its South Africa facility located at the Lanseria International Airport in Johannesburg. The facility now offers comprehensive engine overhaul services for the PT6A. The expansion includes refurbishment and increased maintenance space, more maintenance professionals and support staff and the reconfiguration of an advanced on-site engine test cell.

“We are proud to be able to provide full PT6A overhaul service for our growing customer base in central and southern Africa,” said Juergen Pilot, director, CSC Africa. “We are already capitalizing on the new strategically planned layout to process engines. We have optimized the process to ensure a high-efficiency operation,” he said.

P&WC CSC (Africa) is a wholly owned subsidiary of P&WC CSC Europe, a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney Canada and MTU/Germany. The South African facility has been in operation since 1996 and also offers maintenance support for the JT15D.
