In March, TAC Air acquired Knox Air at Knoxville (Tenn.) McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS). Last month, the 11-FBO chain completed a deal to acquire the second FBO on the airport, Cherokee Aviation. That makes TAC Air Knoxville the largest of the company’s facilities, with close to one million sq ft of terminal, hangar and ramp area.

The Cherokee acquisition gives TAC Air seven large hangars and a terminal building, which will become the primary focal point for the entire operation. Already providing 24/7 services at TYS, TAC Air has fueling capability, hangar storage, a passenger terminal and lounges, catering, rental cars on site, courtesy transportation and a pilots’ lounge. TAC Air also provides service to the airlines that fly to TYS.
