Standard Aero gets Canadian Nod for PW100 Hot Sections
Operators of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 turboprop now have another choice for hot section inspections.

Operators of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 turboprop now have another choice for hot section inspections. In April, Standard Aero received Transport Canada approval to perform PW100 hot-section inspections at its Winnipeg facility. The North American PW100 service center was previously located at Standard Aero’s Maryville, Tenn. facility.

The company moved the PW100 service center to Winnipeg to make room in Maryville to accommodate anticipated APU volume growth. The Winnipeg PW100 service center is a branch of Standard Aero’s PW100 designated overhaul facility located in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The Tilburg facility continues to provide full MRO services.

“We have co-located our PW100 capability alongside our Winnipeg-based PT6A P&WC distributor and designated overhaul facility to capitalize on an already strong relationship with Pratt & Whitney Canada,” said Kees Hage, vice president and general manager of the PW100 program. “Combining both P&WC product lines in Winnipeg strengthens the strategic alliance with P&WC, optimizing both our manufacturing systems and logistics networks.”
