Robinson has handed over its 6,000th helicopter–an R44 Raven II–to a Canadian customer. John Wadlow of Alberta, Canada-based Airborne Energy Solutions flew the new acquisition from Robinson’s Torrance, Calif. facility for use in the company’s charter fleet.

Robinson continues to grow, with 1,200 employees and a newly opened 220,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility. To meet burgeoning demand (especially from overseas customers taking advantage of the weak U.S. dollar), the company plans to increase production from 15 to 20 helicopters per week.

Airborne Energy Solutions, a Robinson dealer and maintenance facility for 20 years, maintains a fleet of more than 50 aircraft, 33 of which are Robinsons.
