Jet Aviation Bedford (BED), at Hanscom Field just outside Boston, has completed a major renovation project. The expanded customer lounge now incorporates a central check-in desk, Wi-Fi high speed Internet access and a new passenger seating area. A private section is set aside for customers who want to use laptop computers. A new conference room offers space to hold business meetings directly on site.
The reception area was also remodeled and the FBO now includes enhanced flight-planning capabilities. According to Thomas Mitchell, senior vice president and general manager, “We are pleased that the new accommodations have already been well received by our customers. The design is tasteful and functional, and whether our guests are working or just waiting casually for an arrival or departure, they can do so in spacious comfort.”
In other Jet Aviation news, the chain’s Teterboro (N.J.) facility has been approved to offer US-VISIT (United States visitor and immigration status indicator technology) convenience to its international arrival passengers. The system uses scanners to collect biometric identifiers that will eventually replace the I-94 entry forms, allowing passengers to clear customs and immigration requirements directly at the Jet Aviation terminal.
