FBO AvCenter at Burlington (Vt.) International Airport more than doubled the available hangar space on a portion of its leasehold earlier this year when it opened its new “South Hangar” complex. The construction project consists of a 17,000-sq-ft heated hangar and a dozen new T hangars. The large hangar replaces an older 7,000-sq-ft hangar that was on the same site. It has 12,000 sq ft of storage area and 5,000 sq ft of shop and office space. FBO AvCenter’s executive terminal is located in a similar-size building known as the North Hangar.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, FBO AvCenter general manager George Bacigalupo welcomed representatives from Shelburne Limestone, Northern Flights, PPL Aviation and Pizzagalli Construction–tenant/customers who will occupy the new facility.
