Former Securaplane executive Mark Lukso has started Lux Aviation Engineering.

Former Securaplane executive Mark Lukso has started Lux Aviation Engineering. The Tucson, Ariz. company’s first products designed for the business aviation market are main ship and emergency/standby Kokam lithium polymer batteries.

Lux Aviation has signed an agreement with Kokam America as the exclusive worldwide distributor and design authority for all aviation applications. According to Lukso, the company also plans to bring two or three additional avionics alliances and/or new technologies to the business and commercial aviation sectors.

Lukso, who is joined by his brother Dennis in the business, said the company’s product experience includes flight control, navigation systems, battery and battery-charging technologies, power electronics, aircraft security systems and intra-aircraft wireless systems.
