The saga surrounding European approval for commercial operation of single-engine aircraft in IMC (SEIMC) continues. Late last month, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) was preparing “in the next few days” to invite proposals for a new year-long study that it hoped to launch by year-end. After that, “an opinion introducing SEIMC operations in commercial air transport could be estimated at the end of 2009,” EASA officials told AIN.
