Kenneth Allison has added another FBO, the former Lafayette Regional Airport in Louisiana, to his group of Million Air-branded facilities, bringing the total to seven FBOs. Million Air Lafayette moved into modular offices in the middle of last month and planned to demolish the old terminal building shortly thereafter to make way for a new 15,000-sq-ft terminal. Million Air will retain the existing 35,000-sq-ft hangar and build a new hangar once the terminal is done.
In a little more than a year, Million Air Lafayette will be the sole FBO on the airport. The company is taking over the lease for Paul Fournet Air Service as of Jan. 1, 2008, and plans to convert that FBO to corporate hangars and offices. George Gilley, former Lafayette Aero general manager, is managing Million Air Lafayette, assisted by line manager John Harrison, who moved from Allison’s Million Air Lakefront (New Orleans) facility.
