Skyservice and Imperial Oil Aviation have expanded their relationship at the Calgary International Airport, with Skyservice now designated an Esso Avitat dealer on the field. Established in Montreal in 1986, Skyservice adds Calgary as its third facility. Pilots have rated Skyservice Avitat Toronto as one of the top 10 FBOs in North, Central and South America in the past five annual AIN FBO surveys. The company’s Montreal facility has consistently ranked in the top 30 over the years. The company now brings its reputation to western Canada.

Skyservice Avitat Calgary’s 137,000-sq-ft facility is equipped with a broad range of pilot and passenger amenities, including heated hangars, pilot lounge with satellite tv and game room, computerized flight planning and weather station, de-icing and conference facilities.

Imperial Oil’s relationship with aviation in Canada dates back to 1918, when aviatrix Ruth Law flew an airplane fueled with Imperial Premier gasoline against a racing car at Toronto’s Sportsmen’s Park. Skyservice is among Canada’s leading suppliers of aviation services, with more than 1,600 employees covering three divisions.
