Learjet 60 operators are the latest to benefit from the Learjet Electronic Technician (e-Tech) troubleshooting tool. E-Tech compiles more than 22 megabytes of information onto a single CD, in a user-friendly Web page format that can be accessed by a laptop computer. It allows technicians to identify maintenance problems, locate in-depth technical information and establish the nature and extent of a fault–all in record time, according to Bombardier.
“Time savings resulting from e-Tech’s enhanced troubleshooting capabilities could make the difference between a cancelled flight and a completed mission,” noted Steve Crawford, director of Learjet customer support engineering.
An NBAA technical committee composed of technical representatives, maintenance directors and pilots evaluated the e-Tech tool before its introduction to Learjet 40 and Learjet 45 operators last December. Bombardier e-Tech is currently available at no charge to all Learjet 60, Learjet 40, Learjet 45 and Learjet 45XR operators.
