Rockwell Collins has appointed Jet Aviation Dubai an authorized dealer, allowing the facility to carry out sales, installations and retrofits of Rockwell Collins equipment. The agreement covers communication, navigation, display and in-flight entertainment systems.
Jet Aviation also announced that the departments of civil aviation of Bermuda and the Cayman Islands have approved the Dubai facility to perform line and base maintenance on the Boeing 737-700/800, Dassault Falcon 900 and 2000, Gulfstream IV/300 and Cessna 500 series.
Jet Aviation Dubai is the first executive aviation maintenance and FBO facility at the Dubai International Airport. The facility consists of 45,192 sq ft of hangar space, a 10,760-sq-ft workshop and a two-story, 11,300-sq-ft FBO building. It is a factory-authorized service center for the Dassault Falcon 900 and 2000 series and a BBJ-authorized service center. In addition, the facility is part of Jet Aviation’s service center agreement with Airbus that links the Dubai facility to the Airbus customer service organization. Negotiations with other OEMs for further service center approvals are under way, and the company expects to announce additional maintenance approvals of other countries shortly.
