He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from the University of Illinois, has taught aviation for over 35 years in industry and as a university professor and academic dean at three different universities. He is also a frequent seminar and after-dinner motivational speaker.&nbsp;
Lombardo holds an A&amp;P Certificate, ATP, CFI and Ground Instructor ratings. He was a corporate pilot and was a research pilot and flight instructor at the University of Illinois. Aircelle has expanded its global maintenance network into the U.S. through an agreement with Shreveport, La.-based ExpressJet Services. The pairing calls for ExpressJet to repair engine thrust reversers on Legacy 600 business jets and Embraer ERJ-135/145 and 170 regional airliners

ExpressJet Services has significant Embraer repair and overhaul experience supporting its own ExpressJet Airline fleet (formerly Continental Express). 

ExpressJet Services, operating out of its own 25,000-sq-ft maintenance facility, offers a variety of composite and sheet metal services on many aircraft types, including the repair of thrust reversers, engine cowls and engine nose sections.
