Just in time for this year’s ski season, Rifle Air has acquired Corporate Aircraft Services and The Rifle Jet Center, the two existing FBOs at Garfield County Airport in Rifle, Colo. The operation will continue under the name Rifle Jet Center. This acquisition gives the now-consolidated FBO a total of more than 80,000 sq ft of heated hangar space. Due to its new size, Rifle Jet Center can easily accommodate several large aircraft at a time, including a Global Express.

Rifle Jet has plans for major renovations, including the complete remodeling of its pilot and passenger terminals, consisting of the former Corporate Aircraft Services facility.

The Rifle Jet Center has been designated an elite Avnet facility under fuel supplier Avfuel’s premier FBO program. It has a Part 145 Repair Station certificate and a Part 135 Charter Operation certificate, using a Citation Bravo and King Air 300.

Rifle has long been regarded as one of the most convenient poor-weather reliever airports for the Aspen/Snowmass and Vail/Eagle ski areas. Several limo/shuttle companies that serve the airport are available for the trip, which typically takes about 1.5 hours. The Rifle Jet Center also has Hertz and Enterprise rental cars available on-site.
