The co-owners of Eaglejet Aviation have acquired the assets of Executive Jet FBO at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (ICT). The new owners, Jamie Pegg and Andy Rusch, said they will continue to offer fuel sales, de-icing and aircraft parking and storage. The business is now operating under the Eaglejet name. The business officially changed hands January 1.
The co-owners will also continue Eaglejet’s work of providing emergency maintenance on business jets. They began the company in Newton, Kan., in 2000 and started moving the operation to Wichita in mid-2004. The company employs 20 people.
Executive Aircraft’s former president Bob Taylor said the sale was prompted by a desire to concentrate on his Executive AirShare fractional-ownership business, which fields a Beechjet 400A, King Air 350 and a King Air C90B. “We’ve had some nice growth,” Taylor said. He plans to build a new 12,000- to 15,000-sq-ft hangar across town at Col. James Jabara Airport, and eventually move the fractional-ownership business there.
