Signature Flight Support has announced the purchase of Le Terminal building at Le Bourget, giving the world’s largest FBO chain and distribution network for business aviation services three facilities at the Paris business airport. Le Terminal, a six-story office building, was formerly a private aviation facility. The building comes with about three acres of aircraft parking ramp and two adjoining hangars.

The purchase of this facility follows Signature’s acquisition last August of the PrivatAir FBO at Le Bourget, although the announcement was not made officially until the end of last year. The former Privatair FBO, which has been renamed Signature Flight Support-Terminal One, serves the airport’s transient traffic. When renovation work is complete, Le Terminal will be redesignated Signature Flight Support-Terminal Two.

Completion was originally expected by the middle of this year, but a Signature spokesman at Le Bourget told AIN it is now hoped the work will be finished by November for the terminal to function primarily as a base of operations for tenant aircraft. Upon completion of Terminal Two’s renovation, Signature’s original Le Bourget FBO, which began operations in 1998, will serve base tenants exclusively.
