Landmark Aviation informed employees in late March of a consolidation of the company’s avionics installation work. It is shifting all installation work from its Los Angeles, Augusta and Houston facilities to its Springfield, Ill. center. The company will continue to offer avionics service support at all of its facilities that have repair centers.
The company’s Los Angeles, Houston and Augusta operations will continue to provide 24/7 full-service MRO for both engines and airframes, in addition to providing light avionics repairs. According to a company spokesman, the realignment coincides with the decline in demand for RVSM and other FAA-mandated cockpit work. Landmark will now focus on the back of the cabin including cabin management and other avionics equipment installations.
