Lufthansa Technik, which has contracts with Bombardier for the completion of 17 Challenger 850s over the next several years, has already delivered the first, now in service with Suncor Energy of Alberta, Canada. The 50-passenger Challenger is configured for shuttle work. The Hamburg, Germany-based interiors specialist is also expecting to take its first Airbus A318 Elite later this year and anticipates finishing the completion in as little as four months. Lufthansa Technik senior v-p of marketing and sales Walter Heerdt said he foresees a growing market for standardized cabin interiors such as those created for the Challenger 850 and A318 Elite, particularly among individuals, companies and governments.
