Pentastar Aviation in Waterford, Mich., last month announced it has received STC approval to install an electronic flight bag portable computer from CMC Electronics under the approved model list (AML) provision. The STC allows for the installation of the CMC Electronics CMA-1100 EFB in aircraft covered under the AML, which Pentastar noted includes the Falcon 2000 and 2000EX. The project also included the first yoke-mount approval for the Falcon 2000. The AML approval is noteworthy because it allows different aircraft types to be fitted with the CMA-1100 system without the need to undergo the complete STC process, thereby reducing downtime and cost.
