Duncan Aviation last month reported that it installed and certified the first AirCell Axxess onboard communications system, in a Falcon 2000. Designed to provide voice calling capability through its two Iridium satcom channels and future expansion options for broadband wireless hotspots in aircraft cabins, Axxess includes telephone handsets with color displays, noise-canceling technology and expansion capability for additional Iridium channels. Duncan, which performed the installation at its shop in Battle Creek, Mich., said this was the first Axxess STC granted by the FAA.
