German aircraft manufacturer General Atomics AeroTec Systems is showing off a paint job for a Global 7500 business jet that it completed at its factory in Oberpfaffenhofe.

The newly built Bombardier aircraft first received functional corrosion protection, a sanding primer, and the manual filling of all rivets in the fuselage area before getting multi-coat metallic paint followed by two coats of a clear paint finish.

General Atomics said that eight color shades were mixed from three oranges and reds. The Eagle logo was applied using stencils created on a computer.

Eight painters worked on the aircraft at the same time.

Representatives of the customer and Bombardier were present at the final acceptance.
