L3 Prepares Lynx Transponder Update
Release 3.2 for the NGT-9000 will be available to users free of charge through installation centers starting in August

L3 Commercial Aviation announced a new software upgrade for the ADS-B transponder and display system this week at EAA AirVenture. Dubbed Release 3.2, the upgrade, which will be available in August for Lynx NGT-9000 operators, includes enhanced GPS receiver performance and startup time, improved compatibility with the Genesys Aerosystems IDU-680 EFIS, and added support for dual control panel configuration.

“We continue to invest and broaden the reach of the Lynx NGT-9000 with these Release 3.2 enhancements, including the introduction of an interface with the Genesys IDU-680 EFIS, as well as other upgrades,” said Shane LaPlante, vice president of sales and marketing at L3 subsidiary ACSS. “Lynx is a turnkey solution for general aviation aircraft and Part 27 rotorcraft, providing enhanced situational awareness, ATAS traffic alerting below 500 feet, safety and ADS-B compliance."

Current Lynx operators can receive the upgrade, which will be standard software in all new systems, free of charge.
