Kuala Lumpur-based component support specialist SR Technics Malaysia recently earned certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC), giving the Swiss-based MRO provider another option to certify components for Chinese operators. SR Technics Switzerland recently renewed its CAAC certification.

Adding CAAC certification to its Malaysian operation will help SR Technics expand its services in the Asia-Pacific region, supporting both "existing and new Chinese customers," the MRO provider said.

Opened in 2014, SR Technics Malaysia features a service center for testing, repair, overhaul, and modification of aircraft and engine components. The facility, which focuses on the Airbus A320, A330 and A340, as well as the Boeing 737NG, serves as the regional customer service center for the company’s Asia-Pacific component services customers.
