Gardner Lands Airbus Deals
Gardner Aerospace has extended its relationship with Airbus by securing four more contracts to supply components to the European airframer

Gardner Aerospace is a key supplier of finished components, parts and sub-assemblies to OEMs and Tier 1 companies. Airbus is a major customer and has just handed four more work packages to the UK-headquartered company.

Gardner’s Mazères facility near the Airbus factory in Toulouse is supporting Airbus France in the development of the secondary structure of the A330neo’s engine pylon, and has also received an initial production phase deal for detailed parts and sub-assemblies. These will mostly be made of stainless steel and titanium, and will be delivered at least through 2020. The Mazères factory is also deliver multiple sheet metal work packages for a range of Airbus products, including A320, A330, A380 and A400M. Parts will include aluminum brackets.

In the meantime, Gardner’s Derby, UK, operation is involved in supplying non-standard B brackets (NSBBs) for the fuselage of the A350XWB. This contract has just been extended to 2021. The company has also secured a contract from Airbus Germany to provide NSBBs for the A350XWB’s cabin. Initial deliveries are scheduled for September, and the contract covers an initial batch of 400 sets.
