Ruag Hands Tata Major Do 228 Role

Switzerland’s Ruag Aviation (Hall 4 Stand E3/4) has entered into an agreement with Tata Advanced Systems (Hall 1 Stand B13) under which the Indian company will provide fully assembled fuselages and wings for the Do 228-212NG aircraft from its Hyderabad factory.

Tata is a leader in the Indian aerostructures sector, and holds a number of certifications, such as AS9100, Nadcap and ISO 14000.

S. Ramadoria, chairman of Tata AS, remarked that, “The Tata-Ruag partnership is a glowing example of co-operation between India and Europe, with Tata being entrusted with manufacturing aircraft components to Swiss standards of precision and quality.”

The Do 228-212NG, a robust and versatile twin turboprop, can be used for commuter-style passenger operations or as a platform for special missions.
