CFM Recruits Ebanga to Lead JV
Former Powerjet chairman and CEO Jean-Paul Ebanga has assumed the role of president and chief executive officer of CFM International

Former Powerjet chairman and CEO Jean-Paul Ebanga has assumed the role of president and chief executive officer of CFM International, the GE-Snecma joint venture announced today. Ebanga replaces Eric Bachelet, who had served as CFM president and CEO since September 2005. Bachelet has accepted the position of Safran executive vice president of research and technology.

Ebanga joined Snecma in 1988 after leaving Royal Philips.  His assignments at Snecma have included leadership positions in electronics, systems and aircraft engines.

Ebanga assumed the position of vice president and general manager of Snecma Control Systems in 2001. He subsequently accepted the vice presidency of Snecma’s commercial engine division. 

Ebanga led the Snecma-NPO Saturn partnership known as Powerjet since 2007. The Powerjet SaM146 powers the recently certified Sukhoi Superjet 100.  

Ebanga graduated from ENSEM Graduate School of Engineering in France.
