GE Aviation has signed two separate 10-year OnPoint engine service agreements with Delta Air Lines and Japan Airlines subsidiary J-Air. The contract with Delta covers maintenance and overhaul of the GE90-110B1L2 engines that power the carrier’s entire Boeing 777-200LR fleet. The agreement with J-Air covers the
CF34-8Es that power that regional airline’s 10 Embraer 170 regional jets. OnPoint “solutions” amount to customized service agreements designed to lower the cost of the customer’s assets. They may include overhaul, on-wing support, new and used serviceable parts, component repair, technology upgrades, engine leasing, integrated systems support and diagnostics.
