German charter operator Jet Connection stopped flying early last month and appears to have ceased trading. The company’s management did not respond to AIN’s multiple requests for comment. However, a senior manager with a leading executive charter broker, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Jet Connection has stopped operations and said that he did not expect them to resume. The company, which flew for the Skyjet International block charter program, had a fleet of Challenger 604s and Learjet 60s. On Dec. 26, 2007, one of the operator’s 604s crashed on takeoff from Almaty Airport in Kazakhstan, killing a passenger and injuring three crewmembers.
