Goodrich Puts Brakes on Etihad’s 777s
Goodrich Corp.

Goodrich Corp. has won a contract to supply wheels and brakes for Etihad Airways’ fleet of new Boeing 777-300ERs. Abu-Dhabi-based Etihad, which bills itself as the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, placed an order for five of the airplanes late last year. It plans to take the first airplane on January 6. Other recent contracts for Goodrich include its deal with Hamilton Sundstrand Power Systems to supply an integrated fuel injection system, consisting of fuel atomizers and flexible manifolds, for the Boeing 787’s APU.

Goodrich products arrived in Dubai in grand fashion aboard the Airbus A380, which carries the company’s main landing gear. The contract for the A380 marked the first time Airbus had chosen Goodrich for its landing gear.
