Production line snags have forced Embraer to reduce its delivery forecast this year from 145 to 135, the company revealed last month. Embraer blamed “difficulties found in increasing the production of the E190 and E195 lines of aircraft, especially with regard to the assembly of the wings and to delays in the supply chain.” The Brazilian manufacturer claims to have taken “adequate measures” to increase next year’s total production from 160 to 170 to compensate. In July Embraer assumed control of production of metallic wing parts for the E190 and E195 from Kawasaki after the Japanese company failed to satisfy needs for a production increase.
