Delta Air Lines’ planned expansion at New York JFK Airport this summer will include a new three-year code-share deal with Mesa Air Group to fly twelve 37-seat de Havilland Dash 8-200 turboprops from the Big Apple. Under the terms of the new contract, Mesa subsidiary Freedom Airlines will connect JFK with Norfolk and Washington Dulles starting July 5, Philadelphia on July 15, Syracuse and Albany on August 1, Hartford and Providence on August 15, Richmond and Baltimore on September 5 and Washington National on September 15. Plans call for further regional expansion with 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200s starting June 8, when Delta subsidiary Comair adds service to Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit and Montreal.
